Junior Varsity Football Goes Undefeated

The Junior Varsity Football team played two games on October 25 and 26, 2023. The Aquinas Raiders won both games with a score of 52-6 against Miramar, and a score 28-24 against Archbishop Carroll. At the start of each game, Ethan Dodd, a Freshman, said that he felt “very nervous but very pumped and hyped to play football.” During the game, Ethan stated, “I think I played very well, but most importantly I think my teammates played amazingly.”

Virgil Lemons, a Freshman and running back on the team, stated, “I think that my coaches are the best JV coaches out there and nobody can compete with them. I don’t have a favorite though, I love all of them.” Through hard work and dedication,Virgil was moved up to the Varsity team and is very proud and happy he received the opportunity. “I’m getting moved up to the next game. I’m really proud of myself. I think I got moved up because of the amount of touchdowns and yards I had.”

This season, the JV Football Team has gone undefeated. The STA Family is very proud of all of the players’ accomplishments this year. They all played to their fullest potential and demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship.
