Saint Thomas Aquinas defeated Treasure Coast 42-6

On Friday September 22, St. Thomas Aquinas defeated the ranked Treasure Coast team in a blowout. St. Thomas Aquinas started off with the ball, driving it down the field but later settled for a field goal. The Saint Thomas Aquinas defense stopped Treasure Coast’s offense, forcing a punt on the 4th down. On the next drive, St. Thomas Aquinas used their advantageous field position to score a touchdown after some impressive runs made by running backs Stacy Gage and Justin Montgomery.  Saint Thomas Aquinas then kicked a field goal, bringing the score up to 17-0. Once again, the Saint Thomas Aquinas defense came out and got their offense back on the field with great field position after an interception from cornerback Cameron Williams. Suprisingly, the Treasure Coast Spartans stopped the St. Thomas Aquinas offense and forced them to kick a field goal ending up 20-0. Treasure Coast muffed the kickoff, pinning them to their own 5-yard line. The Saint Thomas Aquinas defense stopped them once again, and they were forced to punt the ball which put their offense on the 50-yard line.

After a slow start to the offense, Andrew Indorf threw the ball to Chance Robinson for a 30-yard touchdown, and Nicholas Romero kicked the field goal to put them up 27-0. The Aquinas defense continued to stop the Treasure Coast offense and forced them to punt the ball. The game had no halftime due to two lightning delays that occurred during the first half. In the 4th quarter, the score was 42-0 but Treasure Coast’s offense had other plans; they punched in a late game touchdown to remove the donut from the scoreboard. The final score of the game was 42-6. St. Thomas Aquinas dominated the undefeated Treasure Coast, ending their winning streak.
