On Sunday, January 12, 2025,the NFL continued the playoffs with more matchups, including the Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills, the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Green Bay Packers, and the Washington Commanders vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hopeful teams competed to earn a spot in
the divisional round and move on to the pinnacle, the Super Bowl.
In the first game, the AFC 7th-seed, Denver Broncos faced off against the AFC 2nd-seed, Buffalo Bills in the Bills’ home turf, Highmark Stadium (New York). The Bills won this game by 24 points with the final score being 31-7. In the second game of the NFC’s 7th-seed, Green Bay Packers faced off against the 2nd-seed, Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia). This game was hard fought by the Packers, but the Eagles are just a force to be reckoned with, winning this game by 12 points with the final score being 22-10.
Next week the Eagles will face off against the Rams at Lincoln Financial Field. In the last game of the day, the NFC 6th-seed, Washington Commanders faced off Against the 3rd-seed, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The scores remained close throughout the game, and while the Buccaneers were favored to win, the rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders, fought hard for his first playoff win. The Commanders took this game 23-20 to go to the second round. Next week, the Commanders will be facing off against the Lions at Ford Field (Detroit)
