The Champions League semifinals have come to an end, and the teams that will be playing in the Champions League Final on May 31 have been revealed as Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and Arsenal F.C.. The semifinal matches were highly competitive, with both series being very close. Freshman Cian Gleeson says that he believes PSG are going to win it again which would make it their second Champions League trophy in a row. “PSG have been the better team over all and have better players as well like Dembele, Vitinha, and Kvaraskhelia,“ he added.
The match between Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and FC Bayern Munich ended in a dramatic victory for PSG. The series finished with a 6–5 aggregate score, with PSG winning the first leg 5–4 and the second leg ending in a 1–1 draw. Many fans consider the first leg to be one of the best games of the year because of its high score. The second leg was highly anticipated, and in just the third minute of the match, Ousmane Dembélé scored, bringing PSG’s lead to 6-4. Ninety minutes later, another goal was finally scored by Harry Kane.
The Arsenal vs Atlético Madrid match was not as popular among fans because both teams are known for their defensive holding play style. The first leg ended 1-1 with both goals coming from penalty kicks. The second leg was a 1-0 victory for Arsenal, with the game-winning goal by Bukayo Saka. This is Arsenal’s first appearance in a Champions League final since 2006, so they are expected to play extremely strong. The same can be said for Paris Saint-Germain, which is returning to the final after winning the tournament last year. Both teams are strong and have very talented players so it should be a highly competitive final.
