Brazil’s National team officials announced the World Cup squad for the tournament in 2026 and everyone was anxiously watching, seeing if Neymar Jr. would make the squad or not. About two months ago, Neymar was not called up to the squad and there was a video where he was talking about how he was upset, but this time, he was called up and everyone was happy for him. Even though Neymar is said to be one of the most talented players ever, why did he rarely make the squad? In the past half decade, Neymar has been sustaining a lot of injuries and some kept getting worse, weakening his form. This created doubt about him ever playing a World Cup game again. He wanted to prove to Ancelotti that he was still capable of playing at the World Cup level even if he is injury prone.

Despite not being at 100%, fans say that he is a staple to the national squad and it wouldn’t be the same without him because of his heavy influence on people and players all around the world. Neymar was once the only hope for Brazil winning a World Cup back in 2014 – 2022, so it would only be honorable for him to be called up to the squad.

This implies that Neymar will most likely be retiring soon because of his fitness and age even though he is only 34.
