The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team won nine straight games at home, and on Tuesday, the team increased their season win total to fifteen to increase their current win-streak to ten. Everything went the Raiders’ way against the Flanagan Falcons as they came off with a 17-2 victory. The Raiders’ hitters stepped up their game for this one, as they had the most runs they’ve scored in a game all season.
Kaio Ramos was a standout: Kaio went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBIs, and two runs. The home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Robinson, who also went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
While in the box, Robinson was locked in, as he said, “I felt confident at the plate, and I knew I had to do my job up there!”
St. Thomas Aquinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an On-base percentage (OBP) of .643. The last time their OBP was this high was roughly a year ago in April of last year. St. Thomas Aquinas’ next game is at Spanish River, starting at 6:30 this Friday. The Raiders hope to extend their win streak to eleven games and also hope to improve their already outstanding record of 15-3 on the season.
