Stats: 1st in lightweight 8 in Districts, 2nd in the Varsity 8 for Districts, 3rd in the Varsity 4 for Districts, 2nd in the state for the freshman 4+, 3rd in the state for the junior 4+
Gianna Attento is a sophomore who competes for the varsity Rowing at St. Thomas Aquinas. She began her paddling journey at STA during her freshman year on the Novice team. Since then she has transitioned into the critical role of Stroke, setting the pace for the entire crew and contributing greatly to the team’s success. This year she has demonstrated remarkable growth, earning her seat on the varsity boat. She reminds her fellow athletes,“This isn’t a sport where you can miss a day and it will be okay, you are learning so much every day so you cannot afford to miss practice.”
