The match started with no goals for the first 36 minutes until Raphina drove into the box and finished it in the far bottom corner. Soccer fans were skeptical about how Raphina would do in his first El Classico back from his leg injury, but this goal showed he was still capable even after his Ballon d’Or contender season. The score was later equalized by Vinicius Jr. in the 47’th minute after he dribbled around the Barcelona defense and finished into the net. This gave Madrid fans a small amount of hope, but only two minutes later, Robert Lewandowski scored a chip shot making it 2-1. The goal was checked in case of offsides, but in the end Barcelona secured the lead. Even after this quick take over in score, Real Madrid scored just as fast, with Gonzalo Garcia sneaking past a goal off a corner kick. Half time started, and the game was uneventful until the 73’ minute, when Raphina scored a goal off a deflection from one of Real Madrid’s defenders. This was the final goal of the match, and in the last minutes, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Carreras missed a crucial shot to equalize the match. The match ended and Barcelona won, making it their 15 Super Copa title.
