On November 7th at 8:00 am, St. Thomas Aquinas High School hosted a special breakfast for STA alumni and their legacy students in the Main Gym. Current students and their parents shared insider information on the student experience attending St. Thomas Aquinas High School and then compared it to 2025.

The Legacy Breakfast was sponsored by the business Porfa Coffee. Many pastries and coffees were served for the guests to enjoy. A favorite among the students was the churro latte. Tables were decorated with a myriad of Aloma Cookies of several flavors and coupons to use at Porfa Coffee, along with advertisements from other local businesses.

The event featured speeches from several faculty members, including Principal Dr. Alomas and Mr. Biasotti.
Alumni shared insider information, such as their favorite memories shared at STA or some of the major differences in student life now versus during their time as students.
Mrs. Gabrielsen, an STA graduate from 1996 and mother of Daniel Gabrielsen, shared, “My memory is meeting my lifelong friend and husband. I enjoy watching my son participate in the same experiences and traditions that I had once partaken in. I think the use of technology at STA is so different from when I attended. I like how the educational tools at St. Thomas Aquinas are able to grow with the times.”

Another parent, Mr. Eterno, an alumnus from the class of 1993 and father of junior Gianna Eterno, said, “My favorite memory of my attendance at STA was my teachers. They were meaningful and impactful figures in my life. I hope that my daughter is able to experience the same care from her teachers that I experienced and never forgot.”
The Legacy Breakfast event is important to the faculty and alumni because it allows them to revisit their high school experience. More importantly, it means reconnecting with their past, whether that means the friends they had made during their time at St. Thomas Aquinas or teachers that have helped them flourish. The bond between the legacy and their parents is a unique one. The sharing of experiences and traditions from St. Thomas will never be forgotten.
