Over the weekend the Saint Thomas Aquinas Rowing Team made their way to Nathan Benderson Park for Plant High Winter Sprints in Sarasota. 15 boats entered, but only five medaled. 

Starting off the day with Varsity girls at 8:00 AM, the Varsity girls 4+  placed first in their heat and 1st overall, 28 seconds ahead of 2nd place. Womens’ Varsity 4X places 2nd in their heat and 2nd overall. Womens’ LW 4+ placed 2nd in heat and 7th overall. Womens’ Junior 4+ placed 3rd in Hear and third overall. Women’s Junior 4X placed 4th in their heat and 7th overall. Womens’ LW 4X placed 4th in their heat and 4th overall. 

Novice boys took out an 8+ and placed 4th in their heat and 9th overall. The Novice boys 4+ placed 8th in their heat and 21st overall. The Men’s Varsity 8+ placed 7th in their heat and overall. Mens’ LW 4+ placed 7th in their heat and overall. 

Womens’ Novice 8+ placed fifth in their heat and overall. Womens’ Novice 4X placed 5th in their heat and tenth overall. Womens’ Novice 4+, B placed 5th in their heat and 11th overall. Womens’ Novice 4+, A placed 6th in heat and 7th overall.
