On Saturday, October 26th, the STA Swim and Dive team became District Champions. The girls and boys managed to obtain this honorable title in Plantation. The girls’ team made a comeback from their two early season losses while the boys resumed their undefeated season.

Members of the Girls’ Swim and Dive team that competed at this Saturday’s Region 4 Championship in Stuart are Carolyn Levy-Powell, Aaleyah Osouna, lena Lajko, Sarah Vansquez, Caitlyn Britto, Ciara Strype, Giuliana DeMaria, Shantal Teran, Ana Lutz, Benjy Sherman, Kaitlyn Sanchez, Riley Andres, Brie Geary, and Makenna Stack. 

The victorious Boys’ Swim and Dive team includes Conor Jimenez, Mason Jimenez, Juan Orjuela, Lev Konnikov, Gabriel Tortola, Alex Mansur, John Corbett, Alistair Bass, Alejandro Osorio-Monoroy, Tikhon Kolobov, Sam Eastaugh, Aris Jao, Sebastian Fahnestock, Darwin Davis, and Jacob Goodson. 

The Saint Thomas Aquinas swim team’s district win is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and unwavering team spirit. There is no better payoff for hard work than hearing the final buzzer, along with the cheers of the crowd, as the scoreboard lights up confirming a victory. Winning Districts for the Swim and Dive team is the ultimate reinforcement for months of early morning workouts and vigorous practices; it’s a celebration of every stroke, every dive, and every ounce of determination that brought the team to this triumphant moment.
