The first city to visit is known for its high levels of tourism and popularity. New York City has many different things to offer for the Thanksgiving season. One of the big ones is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual event that showcases large helium balloons, detailed floats, marching bands, and celebrity performers. Another fun activity to participate in is the Bank of America Winter Village. This winter village is a free-admission event that consists of over 180 artisan vendors in their custom-designed kiosks, an ice skating rink, and rinkside dining.

At Plymouth, one exciting thing you can do is watch their big Thanksgiving parade. The parade consists of themed floats that go all through the historical town. As the parade travels, you will see floats that celebrate important historic dates and eras while drum and bugle corps and military bands fill the streets. For example, you could enjoy an impressive view while hiking trails, such as ones at Beaver Lake or within the Pisgah National Forest. You could also visit the Adventure Center of Asheville to go ziplining or even climbing. If being adventurous all the time is not for you, you can also have fun on the ground floor.
