The French Honor Society is organizing a service opportunity for students to show appreciation to the school’s cafeteria staff through a donation and a basket assembly activity. This project encourages students to donate items that will be assembled into thoughtful gift baskets as a way to recognize the staff’s daily efforts and contributions to the school community.
The donation period runs from March 25 through April 17. During this time, students can bring in items that will be used to create the appreciation baskets. The basket assembly will take place on April 20, followed by distribution to cafeteria staff on April 21. These dates provide students with multiple opportunities to participate, whether by donating items or helping with the assembly process.
Suggested donation items include practical and self-care products such as socks, slippers, lotion, candles, face masks, hand sanitizer, lip balm, and bath items. Other contributions may include chocolate, gum, mugs, and small baskets. Students are encouraged to select gender-neutral items when possible to ensure that all recipients can enjoy the gifts.
This service opportunity allows students to earn community service hours while participating in a project that directly supports members of the school community. It also offers a structured and accessible way for students to get involved, even if they are unable to attend off-campus volunteer events.
For additional information or questions, students can visit Room 521 or contact the program organizer via the provided school email. This initiative provides a simple and organized way for students to contribute to a meaningful cause within their own school environment.
