This past Friday and Saturday, the Color Guard and the Raiderettes performed at the FBA District 15 Solo and Ensemble Assessment at South Broward High School.

It’s almost here! Our Aquinas Raiders Girls Soccer team is playing for the FHSAA State Championship on Wednesday, February 25th! Now is your chance to BE A PART OF IT!

We will provide a STA Student Fan Bus to Spec Martin Municipal Stadium in DeLand for Wednesday’s FHSAA State Championship Game. Your support will be the final boost our teams need to bring home the State Championship!

We’re offering a game ticket and a seat on the fan bus for STA students. This is a great opportunity for students to join their friends and support the team on the road!

FAN BUS & STUDENT TICKET OPTIONS:

Bus + Game Ticket: $50 (includes bus fare and game entry)

Students who go on the trip will have an excused absence.

Deadline to register for the Fan Bus is Tuesday, March 24th, at 4:30 PM

Departure Time: 5:30 AM from St. Thomas Aquinas High School

Game Time: 10:00 AM

Location: Spec Martin Municipal Stadium 260 E Euclid Ave, DeLand, FL 32724

Return: Approximately 4:00 PM back at STA

FOOTBALL

Congratulations to our Varsity Girls Flag Football team on a dominant performance yesterday against West Broward High School! The Raiders secured a 27-0 victory, showcasing talent on both sides of the ball.

The offense was amazing with Sam Calavetta throwing 3 touchdown passes. Layla Scalisi contributed by throwing a touchdown pass and reeling in two receiving touchdowns. The scoring continued with additional touchdowns from Kayla Gomez and Emmi Merhi, keeping the pressure on the West Broward defense from start to finish.

Our defense dominated as well, keeping West Broward off the scoreboard entirely. Defensive standouts were Priscilla Gonzalez with 4 sacks, Kayla Gomez with an interception. And Stella Young with several impressive pass breakups.

This was a true team effort and a fantastic way to start the week. Let’s carry this momentum into our first home game tonight against Pines Charter!

BASEBALL

The baseball team defeated Cardinal Gibbons 7-2 last night. Julian Diaz was a force on the mound and Brady Gollan closed the game out on the mound. The offense spread out the attack with 8 hits. Brayden Farrell had 2 hits and Mauricio Clement had a 3 run double to put the Raiders ahead for good.
