The week started off on November 13th, with the Las Vegas Raiders traveling to Denver to play the Denver Broncos. The Broncos ended up winning the game 10-7, with the Denver defense showing fans and experts that they are one of the best defenses in the league. Some people are questioning, though, if the Denver Broncos offense is holding this team back. This win improved the Broncos’ record to 8-2 and are the best team in their division.
The next games were on Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts played in Berlin. The game ended up being a nailbiter, with the Colts coming out on top with a 31-25 victory. Jonathan Taylor, the Colts’ starting running back, was the star of the game. Taylor went off with three touchdowns, and many are speculating if he can win the Most Valuable Player award, which is a very uncommon achievement for a running back. The Colts improve to 8-2 and are the top team in the AFC. Next was the Baltimore Ravens against the Minnesota Vikings. The Ravens won the game 27-19, extending their win streak to three and improving the chances for their playoff-push. With the Ravens’ schedule looking really weak, it looks like it is very likely they make the playoffs. In Tampa, there was a game between the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots won 28-23, and Patriots’ quarterback Drake Maye played great with 2 touchdowns, getting a statement win for the Patriots. The Bucs, after losing, fell to 6-3. Drake Maye was receiving MVP chants towards the end of the game, and it was definitely deserved. In Houston, there was a crazy finish. The Jacksonville Jaguars traveled to Houston to play the Texans, and the score finished with a narrow 29-36 win from Houston. The Texans overcame a 19 point deficit and had a game winning touchdown by D-lineman Sheldon Rankins, who recovered the ball from the quarterback and took it back for a touchdown. In New York, the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns played. The Jets won the game and improved to 2-7. Both of these teams are not having good seasons, and fans are just hoping they get a high pick in the draft. Also, the Saints traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, and played the Carolina Panthers. The Saints ended up winning that game 17-7, improving their record to 2-8. This is a bad loss for the Panthers, as they drop to 5-5 in a tight NFC playoff race. With their remaining schedule being pretty tough, it looks like that might be pretty unlikely, but anything is possible.
The New York Giants were unable to beat the Chicago Bears, losing 20-24 and unfortunately losing their starting quarterback Jackson Dart to an injury. This loss also led to head coach Brian Daboll’s firing. The Buffalo Bills were also very disappointing this week, losing to the Miami Dolphins in a blowout loss. This loss has left many NFL fans skeptical about the Buffalo Bills status in playoff contention. The Arizona Cardinals continue to disappoint, and the Seattle Seahawks continue to surprise us, blowing out the Cardinals 22-44. Sam Darnold continues to prove he still has his magic from last year and can be one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Surprisingly, the Rams are dominating, and after losing one of their top receivers, they prove they didn’t need Cooper Kupp, who departed this offseason. The Rams were able to steamroll through the 49ers 42-26. The Washington Commanders look like they are giving up on their season almost after losing their star quarterback due to an arm injury, which just proves the large impact Jayden Daniels makes on that team. The Detroit Lions took care of the Commanders, easily overcoming them 44-22. The Pittsburgh Steelers might be losing their steam, but the Los Angeles Chargers continue to look strong behind their franchise quarterback Justin Herbert, as he continues to dominate, and lead the Chargers to a 25-10 victory over the Steelers. Lastly, the Philadelphia Eagles took care of Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers in a competitive matchup, beating them in a close 10-7 win.
