The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders faced off against the American Heritage Patriots in a highly anticipated game on October 24, 2025. The Raiders had this game on their minds from last season, as the Patriots defeated STA in a close game on senior night. This last week, American Heritage was coming off a hard fought loss to Archbishop McCarthy the week before, and were looking for a bounce-back win. STA received the kickoff first, mainly running the ball on their drive, and the drive ended in a field goal, putting the Raiders up 3-0. The Patriots were looking to put points on the board, but the Raiders’ defense did not let up. The Patriots found themselves deep in their own territory, pinned inside the 10 yard line. This is when senior Daniel Norman forced a fumble, which was picked up and scored by Donovan Adras, taking the Raiders up 10-0. The Raiders put up more points, as Johnny Disalvatore made two field goals, making the score now 16-0. The Patriots drove down the field towards the end of the half, and scored to make the total 16-6.

After halftime, the Patriots received the ball and drove down the field, but ended up punting. The Raiders’ offense failed to put together a scoring drive, and ended up punting as well. The Patriots got some momentum and drove down the field, but in the redzone, Jaden Carey ended up catching a key interception to get the Raiders the ball back on the 1 yard line. Conrad Tolerico then had an amazing punt and backed up the patriots in their own redzone from the 1 yard line. The Patriots got the ball back and got in the endzone to make the score 16-12. The Raiders punted the ball away, and the Patriots were driving down to tie the game, but were stopped by Wyatt Smith, who got his fourth sack of the game, and stripped the ball, leading to the Raiders gaining possession. The Raiders ran the clock out, and took a victory in a highly anticipated game.
