Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season brought drama from start to finish, with several teams sending strong messages as the mid-season point approaches. Thursday night, the Chargers kicked things off by crushing the Vikings 37–10. Quarterback Justin Herbert spread the ball around, and the defense finally clicked, holding Minnesota’s offense in check all game. On Sunday, the Dolphins continued to fight to get back on track, easily handling the Falcons 34–10, especially with Tua Tagovailoa’s accurate passing and quick tempo.
In one of the most thrilling finishes of the week, the Jets edged out the Bengals 39–38 in a high-scoring battle that came down to a last-minute drive in which the Bengals’ offense was stopped. The Bills, once again, looked unstoppable, rolling past the Panthers 40–9, as Josh Allen, the quarterback, threw for multiple touchdowns and the defense forced turnovers. Houston pulled off one of the weekend’s biggest upsets, beating the 49ers 26–15. Quarterback C.J. Stroud stayed calm under pressure, and the Texans’ defense came up with key stops to shock San Francisco.
Elsewhere, the Patriots took care of business against the Browns 32–13, and the Eagles kept their momentum going with a 38–20 victory over the Giants. The Buccaneers dominated the Saints 23–3, proving their defense is one of the most underrated units in the NFC. The Colts looked sharp as well, defeating the Titans 38–14 thanks to a strong running game and efficient play from rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson.
The Broncos delivered the biggest surprise of all, crushing the Cowboys 44–24 with explosive offense from start to finish. Green Bay also shined, defeating the Steelers 35–25 in a complete team win. To cap off the week, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs took care of the Commanders 28–7, reminding everyone that Kansas City remains an AFC powerhouse.
