This weekend, our Model UN team competed at the 38th Annual FIMUN conference at FIU in Miami, where over 600 students participated.
We had 18 students represent our school, and all did an outstanding job.

FOOTBALL
This past weekend, our JV Girls Flag Football team won the 1st Annual Sandlot 7v7 Girls
Tournament!
The Lady Raiders fought through three incredibly tough games against some of the top competitors in South Florida. They started the tournament strong with a dominant 24-0 win over
Olympic Heights. In the second round, they showed their grit in a 12-4 victory against Wellington High School.
In the championship finale, the Raiders shut out Garcia High School with a score of 14-0 to take
home the title!
“While it was a total team effort, Riley DeYoung and Kynslee Newman were standouts on the
field all weekend. And a huge congratulations to our Tournament MVP, Alyssa Birch!”

MUSIC
This past Saturday, the Color Guard and the Raiderettes performed at the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Assessment at Wellington High School.
The Color Guard received an Excellent rating on their performance.

The Superior rating on the Ensemble and Solos advance the girls to the State Solo and Ensemble Assessment.

THEATER
Congratulations to the International Thespian Honor Society Troupe 5-9-9-9 who attended the Florida State Thespy Competition last week in Tampa.
After months of rehearsals and fine tuning their performance of “She’s in Love” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Avery Patterson, Julia Lopez, Kate Turner, Maya Quintana-Burgess, Olivia Gonzalez, Valentina Clemente and Agustina Molnar brought home a SUPERIOR!
Additionally, EXCELLENT scores were received for the following presentations:
Senior Cody Straka and Sophomore Julie Bohm for the duet acting scene from William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Senior, Dylan Saito, for his contrasting monologues
Freshman, Julia Lopez for her rendition of “When He Sees Me” from the Musical Waitress
Junior Avery Patterson for her Makeup design for William Shakespeare’s Macbeth
Avery Patterson, Maya Quintana-Burgess, Paris Walkins and Olivia Gonzalez for their ensemble acting scene from The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson.

WATER POLO
Boys water polo team finished the Gulliver Invitational tournament with 4-0 record defeating
Miami country Day 11-6,
Belen Jesuit 16-15,
Westminster Academy 9-6,
And
MAST Academy 13-10.
The season record is 15-4.
The next game is against Westminster Academy on Tuesday, March 24th at 5:30 at Westminster Academy!
