As Thanksgiving rolls around once again, the STA community is filled with excitement and gratitude. The students are ready with stories to tell and meaningful traditions that are unique to every single individual and reflect their backgrounds. STA students are ready to share their unique traditions that their family celebrates during this Thanksgiving holiday season. Thanksgiving can be different in every single home while still keeping its well known nature of gratitude, family and togetherness.

Rocco Quintero, Class of 2027: My family comes together and makes honey ham with the help of each other, then we sit around and watch movies.

Kaio Ramos, Class of 2026: We have dinner as a family. We take turns leading the prayer. We have a pretty traditional dinner, with a bit of Brazilian flare: turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, biscuits and gravy, ham and habanada for dessert!

Nicolas Kane, Class of 2029: We always have football on while we are cooking Thanksgiving dinner. My dad and I like to watch with whomever is visiting for the holiday.

Blake Calixte, Class of 2028: The whole family comes to dinner at my house or my auntie’s house. We eat food and enjoy Thanksgiving football and basketball. We bond over food and football!

Andres Armijo, Class of 2027: We like to come together and spend time with each other, everyone brings their own special dish with them such as sweet potato casserole and mashed potatoes. My uncle also has a very delicious barbecue cooking up.

Skylar Schwartz, Class of 2029: Every year is different because my parents are divorced. This year I am going with my dad to Costa Rica. We are going ziplining and white water rafting!

Brennan Fassanella, Class of 2027: Every year my entire family rents a house to spend the Thanksgiving weekend. This year we are going up to Melbourne FL to spend this Thanksgiving weekend.

Yuniel Paredes, Class of 2026: Everyone comes over to our house and brings their favorite dish. We play cards and have great discussions around the dinner table!
