On Friday November 29, 2024 The Aquinas Raiders faced off against Atlantic Eagles at Atlantic High School. The Raiders fought hard overcoming a 20 point deficit winning the game 49-42 in second overtime.

The Raiders started slow in the first quarter going down 20-0, but picked up the pace, scoring 14 points in the second quarter, to bring the score to 28-14 and take their deficit down to 14 going into halftime. Both the Raiders and the Eagles scored seven points in the third quarter to take the score to 35-21 going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter the Raiders held the rope and  dominated, tying the game 35-35 and forcing overtime. 

The Eagles received the ball, and in the first overtime they scored a touchdown and converted the extra point to go up 42-35. The Raiders then received the ball and scored a touchdown and converted the extra point to tie the game 42-42. In the second overtime the Raiders received the ball first, scoring and taking the lead for the first time this game, taking the score to 49-42. The Eagles then received the ball with a chance to tie or win the game in overtime, but the Raiders defense forced a turnover ending the game with a Raiders’ win 49-42.
