Halloween Horror Nights 2025 has arrived, bringing its usual mix of fear, excitement, and thrill to Universal Studios. Each year, the event transforms the theme park into scare zones, live shows, and haunted houses that draw many thrill-seeking fans. While the themes and designs are new each year, the atmosphere remains the same, with dark scares around each corner. Whether you are a horror fan or just looking for something fun to do this Halloween season, this year’s haunted houses will not disappoint.
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights went above and beyond with 10 new themed houses instead of 8. The 10 houses this year include Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks, the Terrifier, the Jason Universe, the Fallout, Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, Dolls: Let’s Play Dead, Grave of Flesh, Glákn: Monsters of the North, and El Artista: A Spanish Haunting.
Five Nights at Freddy’s
In the Five Nights at Freddy’s house, you fight to survive the night as you walk through the halls. It is inspired by the 2023 hit movie, Five Nights at Freddy’s, which is an adaptation of the video game franchise. As you venture through, you follow in the footsteps of the character, Mike, who was fired and agreed to work as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. This journey will bring you face-to-face with full-scale replicas of the spooky animatronics: Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and Mr. Cupcake.
The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks
In this WWE-inspired house, you enter the arena where you go head-to-head with the Wyatt Sicks and Uncle Howdy, the leader of The Wyatt Sicks. As you travel through the house, you are met with each member and their own specialized territories. There, Uncle Howdy, Ramblin’ Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch, and Huskus the Pig will be waiting to get their bloody revenge on the world that abandoned them.
Terrifier
In this twisted and terrifying house, the world of Art the Clown comes to life. Inspired by the slasher film franchise Terrifier, guests will face a new level of gore while trying to escape becoming Art the Clown’s next victim. As you enter Art the Clown’s “funhouse,” you will experience disturbing sights, sounds, and smells, and get a close-up of Art’s gruesome kills. You get to explore iconic scenes like the Clown Café and the bathroom with familiar faces like Vicky and the little pale girl.
Jason Universe
In this original haunted house, you will meet the horror icon, Jason, from the Friday the 13th horror film franchise. Guests will be transported back to Camp Crystal Lake, where this gruesome story unfolds. As you tour the camp, you will pass through locations like Jason’s cabin, the main lodge, and the eerie forest. No matter where you step, you are not safe. Around each corner, fans will be spooked by Jason and his infamous killer moments throughout his “killing career.”
Fallout
In this haunted house, guests will step into the post-apocalyptic world of the film series, Fallout, which is an adaptation of the award-winning global video game franchise. Visitors will encounter iconic characters and scenes that will make them feel as if they are in the films and video games. You venture through locations like the Super Duper Mart and meet the Ghoul as you follow Lucy MacLean while she escapes the bloody massacre.
Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters
As you step into this haunted house, you enter the Old West town. You will be met with lava demons who are trying to possess the house’s inhabitants, and the demon bounty hunters, Hatchet and Chains. Horror fans will step foot into popular town spots like the town fellowship hall, the Horse-Toothed Saloon, the undertaker, and the cemetery. You have to rely on Hatchet and Chains with their weapons to try to escape and not become one of the demons’ victims.
Dolls: Let’s Play Dead
As you step foot into this haunted house, you become doll-sized. As soon as this happens, you witness the unnatural creations that a little girl named Lyla created. She likes to torture and rip apart her dolls. You will be able to see the aftermath firsthand. You will be able to go under Lyla’s bed and end in her Victorian-style dollhouse, all the while being stalked by her toys that she has stitched and melded together.
Grave of Flesh
In this haunted house, you enter your own funeral. You would think things could not get any worse, right? When you first step through the doors of this house, you will pass through your grave and enter the gates of the underworld. There, you will be met with flesh-eaters who feed on the dead, and you are no exception. As you journey through the underworld, you will become lost and hunted by flesh-eaters for all eternity.
Glákn: Monsters of the North
In this haunted house, guests enter a remote northern Norwegian village where a monstrous being rises from the dead. This monstrous being brings monsters and demons from the fjords with it to seek revenge on the townspeople. As you venture further into this house, you will face all sorts of monsters: icy, horned, winged, and wolfish ones that gradually merge into one giant creature. As you inch closer to the end, you will be consumed and then try to escape the belly of this beast.
El Artista: A Spanish Haunting
This haunted house is set in 19th-century Spain. The story follows a tortured artist who moved to an isolated country manor so that he could find inspiration. This plan falls apart when the art comes alive and possesses him. These spirits are not done though, and with your journey into this house comes a price. Try to escape without becoming part of the art itself.
