Saint Thomas Aquinas Boys Golf Team is halfway through the season, and so far they’re off to a great start! The Boys Varsity Golf Team has two amazing coaches, Landon Michelson and Danny Sandall, who helped lead their team to a good season. So far, the players have competed against eleven teams: West Minister High School, American Heritage High School, Benjamin High School, Monarch High School, Coral Springs Charter High School, Coral Gables High School, Western High School, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Palmer Trinity High School, and Divine Savior Academy. Out of these eleven matches, STA remains undefeated, consistently conquering their competition.
The team’s success is not at all accidental; hours of practice, strong leadership, and passion from the golf team are all positive factors. Every match has been an opportunity for the STA athletes to show how much they have improved, and to help cultivate their skills. As the year continues, the Raiders are hoping to carry their undefeated record into the playoffs. Through their talent and determination, the Boys Golf Team believes they can finish the year as strong as they began. In September, they played a game at Pompano Beach with four teams. Freshman Braden Chamberlain did very well, scoring 35. Some games have been very close, but the Raiders have yet to lose. Now that the season is halfway done, the players are pumped to finish strong and hopefully be victorious!
