Ousmane Dembele had an exceptional 2024/2025 season. Dembele’s season will go down as one of the best individual seasons of all time, resulting in him winning the Ballon d’or. The Ballon d’or is the most recognizable trophy a professional soccer player can win. Dembele plays for PSG in the French first division as a striker. He led his team to their first UEFA Champions League title in history, assisting in the final and beating Inter Milan 5-0. PSG also won the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France. Dembeles was named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season. Dembele had a total of 51 combined goals and assists in all competitions. All of these accomplishments happened in one season which led to Ousmane Dembele receiving the Ballon d’or on September 22nd in front of a home crowd in Paris.
