Dear Aquinas, I feel like I have too much free time and I thought that I could put that time to use by joining a sport or club at STA. The problem is that I don’t know what sports are upcoming or in preseason, so I do not know what to actually prepare for. Also, I do not know what sports I am good at. I played a few sports in middle school but I know it is very different in high school. I was wondering if you could help me figure out what sports are holding tryouts soon, as well as the time and place. . I would really appreciate it if you could help me figure out what to do with my time. Thank you!

Dear Lucy,
Thank you for reaching out to me! Regarding all sports, I would recommend you to visit the athletic office located on campus. You can speak with one of the coaches there and find out all of the information you need. In case you are unaware of its location, the athletic office is located in the main hallway with the locker rooms. If it’s more convenient for you, you can visit the St. Thomas Website and go to the St. Thomas Athletics page. You will find all of the information you need there. Regarding what sport to go out for, I would suggest trying a few sports at home and seeing what you are best at. Knowing what you are good at will help you find a sport that you will enjoy and possibly play for the next few years. Well, best of luck discovering your sport! Remember to enjoy the process, and if all goes wrong, you can always join a club or even start your own!
Until the next question,
