The week of September 8-12, 2025 is the big Homecoming week at St. Thomas! This year’s Homecoming game comes very early in the calendar for STA, and students have spent the past week preparing for the Friday night game against Western High School, followed by two separate dances for underclassmen and upperclassmen. As the week advances, so does everyone’s anticipation and school spirit. During the week many festivities took place to engage students in school spirit and pride. Each day, students had the opportunity to dress down in accordance with a variety of themes. The dress-down days included Blue and Gold, Country vs. Country Club, Holidays, Throwback Thursday, and Class Spirit Shirt. On Friday students donned colorful shirts designed by their peers, each representing their grade-level theme.
Freshmen:
The freshmen’s theme for Homecoming week was Scooby-Doo! Their shirts were yellow with a fun Scooby-Doo design on the back. It included the whole gang and their Mystery Machine with the colors of green, blue, orange, and brown. Their hallway was decorated with balloons, flowers hung from the ceiling, and an assortment of “Scooby Snacks” to grab on the go.
Sophomores:

The sophomore’s theme for Homecoming week was Monsters, Inc.! Their shirts were mint green with an exciting Monsters, Inc. design on the back. The design included two doors, one saying class of ‘26, Sully, Mike Wazowski, and Boo. The colors that were used were green, blue, dark purple, and light purple. Their hallway was decorated with big doors that were painted and hung on the wall. There were also small painted doors that were hung across the ceiling.
Juniors:
The junior’s theme for Homecoming week was Lilo and Stitch! Their shirts were coral with an adorable Lilo and Stitch design on the back with the colors of light pink, white, blue, brown, and green. Their hallway was decorated with hibiscus flowers, surfboards, Lilo and Stitch posters, and balloons. There were also booths handing out leis, tattoos, and henna station.
Seniors:

The seniors’ theme for Homecoming week was SpongeBob SquarePants! Their shirts were light blue with a sweet and memorable design of Spongebob and Patirck looking into the future. The back included colors of yellow, blue, white, brown and a deep coral. Their hallway was decorated with painted life-sized characters, jellyfish, pool noodles, an inflatable pool, and a senior sign-off poster.
This Homecoming week was a definite success and it was sure to get even better with the Homecoming dance on September 13th, 2025. This was a memorable week to look back on as the year moves forward!
