The first match of the Champion League quarter finals was Bayern Munich vs. Inter Milan. In the first game the score ended 2-1, Inter Milan winning. Thomas Muller scored in the 85’ for Bayern, and Lautaro ‘’el toro’’ Martinez scored for Inter Milan at 38’, and Davide Frattesi at 88’. In the second leg, both teams ended up in a draw 2-2, but Inter Milan won 4-3 on aggregate.
The second match up was Arsenal vs Real Madrid. Starting in the first leg, Arsenal's Declan Rice scored two stunning free kicks back to back, perhaps making one of the best goals in Champion League’s history. Mikel Merino made the score for Arsenal 3-0 in the 75’. In the second leg, Arsenal secured the win on aggregate by winning 2-1 in the second leg.
The third game was FC Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund. In the first leg Barcelona won by a stunning 4-0 score. Barcelona's left winger, Raphihna, scored in the 25’, Lamine Yamal in the 77’ , and Lewandowski scored twice in the 48’ and 66’. Barcelona surprisingly lost the second match 3-1, but Barcelona still won over aggregate 5-3.
Finally, in the last game, Paris Saint-Germain faced Aston Villa. In the first leg, PSG won 3-1. The goals scored for PSG were Desire Doue in the 39’, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 49’, and Nuno Mendes in the 90+2. In the second leg, Aston Villa beat PSG and surprised fans by almost coming back from the loss. The game ended in a 3-2 loss for PSG, but PSG still won on aggregate 6-3.
