On Wednesday April 2nd at 4:30 PM, STA’s Varsity Boys’ volleyball team went up against Chaminade Madonna at St. Thomas in the main gym. The Varsity team took home the win for the Raiders defeating the Chaminade Lions in just three sets.
The game went by quickly with the Raiders claiming the first set with a 25-7 victory, followed by another 25-17 win in the second set. To end the game, the Raiders dominated the final set with a 25-15 win and secured a 3-0 victory. Up front, leading the team with seven kills each, were Luke Swadener, Charles Campbell, and player of the match, Jordan Diaz. Both Elijah Lam and Charles Campbell got 3 serving aces. The Raiders put up impossible blocking with Kamaal Medina, Christian Nicholson, Elijah Lam, Adriano Chiabra, Jordan Diaz, Luke Swadener and Charles Campbell all putting up three blocks each to earn an impressive 21 points off of blocks alone! Elijah Lam kept the plays moving with 29 sets to his hitters, earning 29 assists overall. In the end, the STA Varsity boys volleyball team played an amazing game and brought home another win for the Raiders.
