On Monday January 13, 2025 the Los Angeles Rams faced off against the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the NFL Playoffs. This game was to be hosted by the Rams in Los Angeles, but due to the extensive wildfires that plagued Los Angeles in the weeks prior, the venue was changed to the Arizona Cardinals stadium.
Although the Vikings were projected to win this game, the Rams dominated the game. The final score of the game was 27-9, but the scoreboard did not tell the whole story. The Rams tied an NFL record with nine sacks and had the Vikings rattled throughout the game. The Rams defense also had two turnovers, one being returned for a touchdown. On the offensive side, Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford, finished the game with 19/27 passes completed, two touchdown passes, and zero interceptions. The Vikings season is done, while the Rams are on their way to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in the Divisional round at 3 P.M. on Sunday, January 19th.
