Sophomore Zoey Feinberg explains “My thoughts on fast food places are that they tend to be super bad for you, but a lot of people get it since it’s so affordable.” Sarah Vallie with ChowHound would agree with Zoey, stating “Typically, a basic hamburger at Burger King costs between $1.99-$2.79 depending on location […] As for McDonald’s, it’s close, but not quite the same with burgers ranging from $2.29-$2.99.” Many people tend to overlook the consequences of fast food because of its affordability.

Freshman Emily Zgrzemski says, “My all time favorite fast food place is Chipotle.” Sophomore Sophia Barnes tells us, “My all-time favorite fast food place is Panda Express.” Both Emily and Sophia can agree that giving up Chipotle and Panda Express would be difficult. In fact, Phil Lempert with Supermarket News reports that “45% of people in the U.K. and 44% of U.S. survey respondents said they liked the taste of fast food so much that they didn’t think they could give it up.” Preferences vary from person to person, but fast food overall is a favorite of many!
