FC 25 was officially released on September 27 of 2024. FC 25 has been highly anticipated by many video game players. In the new game there are many new additions and new ratings. Many fans wonder if the game is worth the cost, and what its impact will be in the gaming community. Previous versions have endured since the late 1980’s.
EA FC was originally known as FIFA. Last year the name was changed to EA Sports FC due to a licensing issue. In 2023 FC 24 introduced many new additions to the game, but this year FC 25 was announced and is already a huge success in the gaming community. EA sports announced that there will be many new in-game changes, and also changed card ratings for players. STA sophomore Christian Merren says ‘’I’m excited to pack Kylian Mbappe. There are a lot of new upgraded cards that are insane.‘’
A new addition to EA Sports FC 25 is the Rush game mode which is a small sided five versus five gameplay, a smaller version of the classic 11v11. However, the most im
portant and beneficial is the brand new FC IQ. FC IQ is a brand new feature and overview of the game which lets the player apply tactical formations, deliver greater strategic control, and use a new AI model that is powered
by real word statistics. This AI influences player tactics through player roles.
EA FC chose Jude Bellingham for the front cover of the game. He was picked for the front cover because EA recognized his impressive season last year. He is one of the top players in the world according to FIFA. STA sophomore Christian Merren says, “Jude Bellingham is one of my favorite players right now, he’s a class player that is being successful this year. I’m glad he’s the cover for this years game.”
