STA vs McArthur Homecoming Game

In this game the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders brought out their brand new green jerseys to represent Irish Catholic.

Coming into this game the Raiders were exhilarated about getting new jerseys, so they went on the field and played with passion. On the first play from scrimmage, Chance Washington rushed for 74 yards to put the Raiders on the opponents 6-yd line. Two plays later Andrew Indorf threw a quick pass to Cameron Roberts to put the Raiders up 6-0, four plays into the game. On the extra point the Raiders tried a 2-pt conversion which turned out unsuccessful.  The Mustangs offense went three-and-out and decided to punt. A great return from Ahmari Stevens put the Raiders inside the redzone. On the first play of the drive Andrew Indorf threw a fade to Julius Jones for another Raiders’ touchdown. The Raiders attempted an extra point which 

was good. This put the Raiders up 13-0. The Mustangs offense went three-and-out again. The Raiders offense drives down the field and ends the drive with a Andrew Indorf pass to Branden Hoch for the touchdown. The Raiders attempted a 2-pt conversion with a run by kicker Nick Romero which put the Raiders up 21-0. The Mustangs Offense once again goes three-and-out and with a terrible punt the Raiders got the ball with great field position. In a few plays the Raiders reached the Goal Line and scored with a Cedric Wyche rushing touchdown. The score increased to 28-0. Once again the Raiders defense forced the Mustangs to another three-and-out. On the first play of the drive Cedric Wyche rushed for a 50-yard touchdown which was called back by a flag for holding. Then two plays later, Andrew Indorf threw a 45-yard touchdown to Elijah Doleo to put the raiders up 35-0. The Raiders defense forced another three-and-out. Shortly after the Raiders found their way into the endzone again with a Cole Drum, passing touchdown to Jordan Roache.

Shortly after the Raiders offense came back to the field they scored once again with a Cole Drum, passing touchdown to Omar Gonzalez to put the raiders up 49-0 to end the first half.

 

Homecoming Court:

During halftime the Raiders introduced their homecoming court. 

2nd half:

In the second half the game was put under a running clock due to the score. The Raiders started the second half on defense ready to force another turnover. This is where Ri’Chard Bowe caught a 75-yard pick six, taking the score to 56-0 Raiders. The touchdown put the Raiders back on defense. The Raiders forced yet another three-and-out to put the offense back on the field. The Raiders offense drove down the field but was stopped on 4th down. On the first play of the drive the Mustangs threw an interception to Ben Lamas which was returned for a touchdown but it was called back due to a block in the back penalty. After this play the game clock ran out and the final score ended with a 56-0 Raiders’ win, improving their record to 4-1. ache to put the Raiders up 42-0 before halftime. The Mustangs offense came back on the field and threw an interception to Tavius Horne Jr .
