Homecoming Highlights: Cherishing Every Moment

Homecoming Highlights: Cherishing Every Moment

The month of September: the time of year where the girls are out shopping for the perfect dress and boys are biting their nails wondering how they’re going to successfully get a “yes” while holding up a poster and flowers. All of this, for what? The Saint Thomas Aquinas 2024 freshman and sophomore Homecoming was rapidly approaching, and every student was eager for this upcoming night. The 21st of September finally arrived: girls walked  in their heels and pretty dresses, while the boys showed up dressed up all fancy in their suits and ties. This was just the beginning of one of STA’s most memorable nights!

Freshmen and sophomores arrived at 7:00 with their dates or friends, ready to begin their night of fun. As students piled into the gym, the DJ turned up the music, signaling that he was ready to begin the night. A common look filled the gym: girls in short sparkly dresses with the highest heels, and boys dressed up in a nice suit and tie. Getting up to go dance and make the most of their night, the STA students were ready to make moments and memories with no regrets.

While the students were enjoying a good time on the dance floor, the STA faculty was working hard to set up and prepare delicious food options for the students to enjoy. From empanadas to mozzarella sticks, students had many options available to pick.  After a delicious dinner was served, some iconic Aloma cookies were presented as well as other baked goods. It’s safe to say the STA students were well equipped to go home satisfied after a long night of dancing.

Hot, tired, and with sore feet, all the students returned home, happy and excited about the amazing memories they had just made at the 2024 freshman and sophomore Homecoming dance!  This dance was a great way to escape the long hours of school and studying, and the STA student body definitely took advantage of that. This night was their first introduction to the many traditions that come with the STA Raider experience!
