The decision to bring back lacrosse to St. Thomas Aquinas wasn’t just about filling a gap in the sports roster, it was about the tradition of this sports’ spirit, a revival of passion, and the revival of the team’s camaraderie.
The electricity in the air is undeniable as players put on their cleats, and fans prepare to cheer on the beloved Raiders once again! Coach Terry Crowely, the mastermind behind the STA lacrosse team, is once again putting in the work to bring home another State Championship trophy. One of the ways he is preparing players for this season is through pre-season workouts that ensure each player’s potential will be fully maximized. So what does the future look like for this lacrosse team? Through hard work and dedication, the sky’s the limit.
The STA Lacrosse team continues to display amazing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork on and off the field. The team’s attackman, Diego Salazar, says,“I feel as excited as ever to start another lacrosse season, and to wear the colors blue and gold once again.” Some goals the team has is to defeat number 2 ranked Mcdonough High School and number 5 ranked Boys’ Latin High School. These are some of the toughest opponents but the lacrosse team has confidence in their capabilities to come out on top! Go Raiders!
